In warranty make any difference on accidental
No. Accidental damage is not covered by the warranty.
If you had purchased AppleCare+ when you got the phone it would have made a big difference, it would have paid for the cost of AppleCare+ and more.
I do still have applecare
Unless you paid extra for AppleCare PLUS when you got the phone you don’t have AppleCare. The basic warranty is just a warranty, not AppleCare. On your phone go to Settings/General/About and look at the expiration date of your coverage, or go to here—>Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support and enter your serial number. If it expires 2 years after you bought the phone you have AppleCare+. If it is one year you do not.
