My Face ID has stopped working on my iPhone X. It suddenly would not recognize my face so I reset it and it just keeps telling me to lower or higher my phone no matter what I do. I have already verified I have the most up to date ios and I have done several hard resets and nothing seems to make a change. Are there any other ideas?

If you have a case or screen protector, make sure they aren't obscuring the sensors.
Is there any sign of visual damage to the front camera?
Seeing as you have the latest IOS, and have performed software resets, it might be best to take your phone into an Apple Store for a technician to take a look.
There is no visual signs that I can see in regards to damage to the front camera
No there is nothing blocking it, I’ve had the phone for years and it was working fine than all of a sudden it just stopped
