Mail app

About 2 weeks ago my email got hacked. I went online, changed my password and tried to do the same on my ‘Mail’ app. This wouldn’t work, so I deleted the account and tried to start again. Since then I have downloaded numerous mail apps and not one will allow me to login - it constantly says ‘email address or password is not valid’. I can go to my email providers site on Safari and login fine, as with my email. It’s driving me round the bend - please help!!!
