iPhone overheating using facebook

I am running into the Following problem my iPhone gets really warm to the point of triggering an overheat warning and emergency shut down. It seems to be linked Mainly to the use of the Facebook app. To give environmental context: no sunlight or strong light shinning on device. Indoors 19°C/66°F no case. Flashlight off (I had seen extended use of it can get the phone hot).

at this point I am wondering if there is something wrong with the app or my 11 pro (software and OS up to latest version as of June 20th 2020.

is anyone else experiencing this?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13
