Does the USB-C Port Support SuperSpeed Data Speeds? (USB3.x)

I need to know if the 2018 iPad Pro (iPad Pro 12.9-inch, 3rd Gen) USB-C connector actually supports SuperSpeed transmission, using the SSTX/SSRX lines of the USB-C cable...

Or, is there some special requirement a downstream device (USB Memory) needs, to be able to negotiate with the iPad @ SuperSpeed rates (SSTX/SSRX vs D+/D-)

We are developing a product to connect with the device via USB, and need to know this...it looks like our setup only works with UBS2.0....

Any help would be hugely appreciated...
