Jun 2020. My iMac is running the latest update and I can no longer connect and program my Arduino.
I have tried multiple suggestions after extensively searching the web but the problem lies with Apple and it's software.
Apple. Find a work-around so we can continue to play with our toys!!

That is not an Apple app, please contact the developers for support on their product. Ensure it's a 64 bit app, if it is a 32 bit, it will not run on Catalina.

I understand the inconvenience.
However, Catalina is an operating system.
Arduino is software. Catalina has upgraded security standards. There might be a compatibility issue.
Developers need to make sure their software will run on every platform they've designed it for.
You will need to contact the developer to see if there's an update for their software.
Then Arduino needs updating as well.
Mind you, when you say Apple, you mean the operating system of your computer. Software that does not run on this operating system, is either incompatible or needs updating.

Your answer, like all others, did not fix anything when in fact it was a solution I was looking for so my other options was to make light of a very frustrating situation.
Years ago Apple changed something to do with Bluetooth settings. I was navigating my way around Australia in a motorhome using a bluetooth gps system connected to my iPad. I lost all my mapping and had to wait until that was sorted out. It took weeks and was very frustrating... I now see the same situation occurring again.

Yes, you are correct. It is something unfortunately it doesn't fix the issue.
I lack the ability, technical knowhow to wade through the error messages.
I am attempting to learn Arduino so have no tricks up my sleeve.
It looks like I will have to borrow a windoze computer to complete my little project.
