Forget WiFi network

My internet is working on one of my computers, but my MACBook air is down. On my Mac I get an explanation point for WiFi but it’s not connected. When I try to forget the network, I cannot click on the name of my WiFi. I know it’s not my internet, what should I do?

Try removing the network from that Mac's Preferred Networks list by following the instructions in Change advanced Wi-Fi options on Mac:

  • Remove a network from the network list: Select the network you want to remove, then click the Remove button  at the bottom of the Preferred Networks list.

Then, you should be able to join your desired network by selecting it from the Wi-Fi menu.
