Streaming apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc) missing from my Apple TV app on ROKU 4K

If I access the Apple TV app on my IPhone there is a banner to choose streaming apps such as Netflix, Hulu, etc. The Apple TV app on my ROKU is missing the ability to access my streaming services. Other than that it is mostly identical. The app says it is up to date version 3.1 build 99

That is correct. Linking other streaming services that have their own app through the TV app is a feature exclusive to Apple devices. That feature is not available on third party devices that have the Apple TV app. One of the technical reasons is that apps can’t link to/integrate with other apps if they want to; that is only possible when the OS allows that and facilitates that.
