Position of power button on iphone8 plus

I have a iPhone 5S at the moment. I have a semi paralyzed left hand. When I hold the iPhone 5S in my left hand, my left hand fingers curl around the device and my nearly non-functioning fingers land right on top of the power on/off button. Sooner or later, I accidentally turn the iPhone off !!

I was wondering if I purchased an iPhone 8 plus, it being a bit longer than the 8, my fingers would curl around the device above or below the power button.

Unfortunately, with the current covid19 situation, dealers won't let me handle a device to determine how well it would fit into my left hand. Maybe you could help ? For example, howe many inches is the 8 plus power button down from the top right hand corner ?
