Why can't I restore my phone from a previous backup?

Apple keeps saying that my password is incorrect despite me changing it.

Reset Encrypted Backup password Hi everyone, I created encrypted backup of my iPhone (on my PC under Windows) . After factory reset, when I try to restore backup it keeps saying that backup password is incorrect. Process has been done in less than 1 hour so I'm sure that I'm writing correct password. Can I somehow restore my phone from backup?

If you have changed your ID or password, have you followed the steps in this article?

What to do after you change your Apple ID or password - Apple Support.

Backup couldn’t be completed or you can’t restore.
