Free Apple TV?

I got a free year of Apple TV by making an Apple purchase. We were surprised to find out that all shows/movies cost something. Are there no free movies/shows on Apple like they provide on Netflix?

What is included in the Apple TV+ subscription are the Apple Originals.

Other content in the Apple TV app is not part of Apple TV+, and will have to be payed for separately.
