Same Apple ID on two devices?

I just purchased a new Ipad Pro, and I have a current Iphone XS. I want to use the same apple ID for both of these. Is this going to be an issue for anything?

Would you recommend this or should I make two separate ones? Both devices are going to be used by myself and no one else. I do have a family plan with my wife and kids as well.
