Siri setup question - using Siri w stereo paired HomePods
Can Siri be configured so that it's audible responses are sent through both HomePods in a stereo pair?

No. Touching the top of one of the HomePods to use Siri will make that the default device from the pair going forward. Use Feedback - HomePod - Apple to request a change in behaviour.
