Accidentally downloaded an app that I thought was free

I downloaded an app thinking it was free but I have now been charged 53.11 or close to that for this apps subscription and I didn’t know I had to pay to use the app I have uninstalled the app but can’t seem to cancel the subscription how can I cancel the subscription
