I got a 12 month subscription to Apple TV+ yet there are shows that require me to rent or buy before I can watch them.
Why do I have to rent or buy movies or shows when I already have an Apple TV+ subscription?

Apple TV + is Apple Original content. It’s a channel found within the Apple TV App. The shows included in your subscription will have the tv+ logo on them - those are free with your subscription

The confusion arose because I mistakenly thought that the Apple TV app was only for Apple TV+, I now realise that the app has other channels outside the scope of an Apple TV+ subscription.
