Apple TV+ asks for payment despite active subscription

I got a 12 month subscription to Apple TV+ yet there are shows that require me to rent or buy before I can watch them.

Why do I have to rent or buy movies or shows when I already have an Apple TV+ subscription?

Thsts right, there are other channels within the TV App.

Your subscription is for Apple TV +

Apple TV + is Apple Original content. It’s a channel found within the Apple TV App. The shows included in your subscription will have the tv+ logo on them - those are free with your subscription
