I followed all the instructions for putting ipad in recovery mode. However for the last 24hrs it has been preparing ipad for restore. Please help. I need my ipad to work again. I don't mind that all data is wiped I just need to be able to use it

My ipad won't go past this...
Rather than concentrate on failure of the procedure that you are attempting - what, precisely, are you attempting to achieve?
To have my ipad work. This is all it is showing whether I restart or turn it off I get that screen. Then I try to update and/or restore it and goes back to this.
The ipad is new this year.
