I have an old Apple Modem. What else do I need to connect to wireless and internet?

Hi,

I have Spectrum wifi and internet only.

Today someone asked me why I was not taking advantage of the Spectrum I am paying for...supposedly better, faster etc than using my Apple Modem.

My question is if I keep my modem, (and leave Spectrum ) what other service would I need to get wireless and internet?

Thanks so much for any suggestions

Hi lynnmarrapodi,

Thanks for your post! We understand you have some questions around internet services and hardware. If you do currently have an AirPort Express, AirPort Extreme, or AirPort Time Capsule, you will still need to pay for an Internet Service Provider (like Spectrum) to have access to Wi-Fi and broadband internet.

If you are going to begin using your Apple hardware as your modem, refer here:
