Original iPhone photos lose quality after transfer.

When my daughter transferred a number of photos taken with her iPhone XR to my iPhone 11, the original photo Dimensions of 3,024 x 4,032 on her iPhone was displayed at lower quality of 1536 x 2048 on my iPhone. I search the net for hours and used Shared Albums with no success, it seems the problem could be the way the photos were transferred, How can I get the photos original quality on my iPhone? Thank you in advance.

Most ways of sharing photos are reducing the size of large photos. Shared albums are doing the same.

In addition to Air Drop she could also share a folder of images on iCloud Drive, if she is using iCloud Drive.

  • Select the photos, then use "Share > Copy iCloud Link".
  • The link will be copied to the clipboard and she can mail the link to the items.
