Auto brightness not working in my Macbook Pro 2019

The Auto brightness just doesnt work in my macbook. I tried restart, turn it on and off, when I sitting in the dark, the screen still has high level brightness


Im using macOS Catalina 10.15.5.


I also has the brightness control on my control strip.

MacBook Pro 16″, macOS 10.15

Thanks for the post in Apple Support Communities. We saw that you're having an issue with automatic brightness on your Mac, and it sounds like you've done some good troubleshooting already.


To verify, if you hold your hand over the camera on your Mac with automatic brightness enabled, you don't notice any changes. Is that right?


If that's correct, we suggest a reset of your System Management Controller. This component handles a number of internal functions on your Mac, including the ambient light sensor: How to reset the SMC of your Mac
