iPad 2 gen screen wont turn back on after screen locked. It still works perfectly if i restart it, but i can never press the lock button, otherwise I would need to restart it again. Please help!!

The thing is that this only started after I updated the software, so I’m guessing there’s no problem on the hardware whatsoever, and as I said before it’s working perfectly once I restart it. Is there any way to undo the software update?
