do you initiate calls to warn about fraudulent use of apple account?
yesterday I used Apple Pay for the first time and today I get a robo call that is telling me that my acct has been compromised... is the call legit or phising scam?

It is a scam. Apple doesn't make unsolicited phone calls. If there is a problem with your account you would be notified when attempting to log in, including when logging into this forum. Also see: Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
