The transfer proces from one Mac to a new Mac is stalling
The transfer proces is stalling. It says “24 minutes remaining” but nothing happens for hours. How can I transfer my files to the new Mac?

Doing this transfer of a lot of data just doesn't always work via wi fi. Too much data. Some of it gets lost and this is what happens. Do your transfer using a USB or ethernet cable connected to both computers. I would then restart the process and it should go nicely. If I remember, it takes an hour or so to complete.
