Attempting to use iMovie.
In my Photos app on my MacBook Air.
In my Photos app
(Taken with my iPhone ) when I attempt to import these videos they get converted to JPEG still images.
It is also somehow rewritten to the Photos app and converted the videos to still images ..

It is expected behavior for videos to appear as a still image for 3 to 6 seconds after dragging the video directly from Photos. We recommend that you drag the video from Photos to your Desktop first, then drag the video from the Desktop to the iMovie project.
