I want to buy a macbook air 2020. The price of the macbook has gone down online but I want to know if the macbook is the same price in the store.

Apple Stores don't sell them for anything less than what you can find on their website.
If you want to save some money keep checking their Refurbished and Clearance page. Right now there are a number of 2020 MBAs in various configurations from which to choose.
