How do you copy photos from a MacBook Air to a flash drive?

It depends on whether you want to copy a few pictures from your library or copy the entire Photos Library.
If the former, export the required pictures from within Photos. Select the right pictures, then File | Export and choose the flash drive as the destination.
If the latter, when Photos is not running copy the entire Photos Library file - drag and drop using Finder is simplest. However, be aware that running the Photos Library from a flash drive, if that is your intention, is unlikely to work reliably and could damage the Library file.
Yes indeedy! All the designated photos copied over to the flash drive! I did large chunks of photos -- mostly summertime activities for the last 5 years! Wish I had edited my photos before copying so many! That's my next job! Thank you again for your help.

Thanks a million for your help. I was so afraid that "export" meant moving them permanently off my computer when all I wanted to do was copy several photos onto a flash drive.
