Upgrade to macOSSierra from El Capitan

My late 2009 mac won't upgrade to macOS Sierra from El Capitan but I desperately need to upgrade - Please help??

If your Mac is a MacBook Pro from late 2009 you cannot upgrade to macOS Sierra.

The only late 2009 models of macs that can upgrade to Sierra are MacBooks and iMacs.
