can you pause live TV in Spectrum App and resume programming

So wonderful of Spectrum to choose a device that is completely useless to us and that doesn't provide the most basic functionality of every other service. Not only can you not pause live TV, but you cannot simply flip channels either without going in and using the guide. I just got all my spectrum stuff and am about to pack it all up and send it back. They completely lied to me (about five different people) about what I was going to be able to do with this new setup when I was asking about switching from ATT. The internet is awesome. The TV app is terrible and they should be as embarrassed as I am disappointed in this new "service".
It appears you would need the Cloud DVR add-on subscription for that functionality.
I work for Spectrum. This is a remote issue and a deficiency in Apple 4K TV. The pause button does not work. Hence you cannot pause. Like most Apple devices your developers fail to keep to the principal of KISS..

Sorry but I'm quite able to pause live feeds from other services. I don't have Spectrum, so can't see what the problem is, however if other providers can make the Apple TV API's work properly, then it rather seems it might be the folks at Spectrum that don't cut the mustard.
