Unable to connect to servers

So for the past day or so, I have been unable to connect to video game servers.

For example, I tried to open multiple multiplayer games on Steam, and they launched but there is always an error message that says something along the lines of "Unable to reach/connect to server"

This is not just for steam, but for other applications like Runescape, MC, etc.

I am able to use the internet normally, but there was one time where it said "unable to connect to the network".

Is there something wrong with my laptop? or wifi? My phone is also connected to the wifi and it has no problem running anything.

I am currently using the 2020 MacBook Air running Catalina macOS

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Thank you for posting in the Apple Support Communities. We understand your Mac is unable to connect to specific servers needed by games you are attempting to play. This could be related to network security on your Mac or home network. You may want to disable VPNs, Firewalls, or other security measures, then test for the same issue.
