Can I update my IOS 11 to IOS 12 ?

When I buy this Iphone last 2019 from Paluwagan like installment and the seller told me not to update this iphone , I don’t know why but then now I feel like I need to update my ios11 to ios 12 bcause there’s apps that i can’t download bcause it needed ios 12 and I search in how to know if iphone is locked or unlocked but it seemed that my iphone was unlock !

What should I do ? Can I still update my ios11 to ios12 ? Thankyou

You can and you should update. You can update an iPhone 6 Plus from iOS 11.x to iOS 12.4.7.
