One thing that has come to light is plugging the charger into the right side USBC port
Operating temperature: 50° to 95° F (10° to 35° C)
Storage temperature: -13° to 113° F (-25° to 45° C)

Keep your Mac notebook within acceptable operating temperatures

Your MacBook Pro can run at 60 degrees C all day long. The fans resound to measured temperatures by spinning faster under the control of the System Management Controller (SMC). SMC failure results in fans at fail-safe MAXIMUM.
If its temperatures get close to 100 degrees C it is at risk of emergency power-down due to over-temperature.
