Just purchased refurb MacBook Air 11inch running High Sierra. MS Office 2011 V14 already installed... can I upgrade to Mojave without any disruption to this older version of MS Office?

No. Office 2011 does not work fully with Sierra, and it does not work with Mojave. See App Compatibility Table - RoaringApps.
You should heed Kappy's advice. Office 2011 should go no higher macOS than SIERRA. You may think its ok higher but all you are doing is sending others false information based on your experience.
I just found this response from a volunteer moderator on another thread... thought I'd share as it might be useful to other users with the same question.
"Microsoft Office 2011 is not supposed to run in Mac OS X Mojave. It was made for Mac OS 10.5.8 and "later" versions, meaning all versions of Mac OS that were in existence when the product was officially supported. All Microsoft support ended October 2017. That Office 2011 continues to run in Mojave is because Apple deliberately made Mojave so that Office 2011 would continue work. Apple has publicly said they will not continue to do this.
Works fine. Running it on Mojave since release. Be sure you update Office to 14.3.0.

Understood. Just sharing experience. I had no issue on High Sierra or Mojave.
Hi thanks.. I’m already using MS Office 2011 with High Sierra snd it seems to be running ok. I’d like to hear from anyone who is or has tried using this older version of MS Office with Mojave.
