Deleting shared album from someone else

I’m NOT the creator of the shared album. It was shared with me.

  1. If I delete the album will the person who shared it with me know that I deleted it?
  2. Will he get notified or will he see that I deleted the album?
  3. Will it delete any of his original photos?

Thank you!

You cannot delete an album shared by someone else. You can only delete any photos you added to the shared album, but not photos shared by others. But you can unsubscribe from the shared album. Then it will be removed from your devices, but remain on the devices of other subscribers. I would delete any photos you added to the album, before you unsubscribe and can no longer access the album.

You can unsubscribe in the Albums > Shared Albums section. Open the shared album, tap the People button, then "unsubscribe". The owner will see, that you cancelled the subscription.
