Got a new iPhone, but no backups available (all corrupted), and old phone is bricked (long story). All my texts from my old phone and on the computer are saved to iCloud. So...how can I transfer old texts to my phone--I'm getting new texts fine, but want the hundreds of old ones sync'ed to my new phone. Is there a way to transfer messages from my computer, or from iCloud to the new phone? Thanks!

You watched your computer backup the texts to iCloud? That’s a new one on me. If you were syncing your messages with iCloud, then do what Lawrence Finch said to do in the post after mine.
If you were really backing up with iCloud, there is no way to recover only the texts. When you restore a backup, you restore everything in the backup and overwrite the current contents on your phone.
They are all on my computer, and supposedly on icloud. My computer backed all my texts to iCloud (took 30 min--watched the progress bar). How to transfer just messages from iCloud to new phone. Thanks
Not without a backup since there is nowhere from which to recover them.
If you had Settings/[your name]/iCloud - Messages turned on for the old phone, just turn it on for the new phone and they should sync to it.
