apple tv is connected to wi-fi but does not show up online

Wi-fi username and password entered into Apple tv but it does not show up on iPhone or computer.

I had checked that. I ended up resetting the Apple TV and setting it up as a new device and it is now working perfectly.

Welcome to the Apple community.

It isn't intended that you can see your Apple TV from your iPhone or computer, unless you are referring to AirPlay. If you are referring to airplay, have you made sure that airplay is enabled on the Apple TV?
