Hello is there a place on the website I can find out if the device is original or not?

The first letter of the model number identifies new devices (M), engraved devices (P), refurbs (F), and replacements (N), if that’s what you're looking for.


If it’s showing up as “replaced”, I wouldn’t purchase it. From what’s posted around the ‘net, that iPhone probably shouldn’t be available for sale.

For Thought:

  • Is this a Scam?

If this modification is not mentioned on the sale, this may be considered a scam.


  • Just Where did you Get this?

If you got it through use of a Web site (i.e. eBay), then contact the site, viewing their Terms & Conditions, seeing if you can get your money back and if the seller can be held liable for a scam sale.
