3840 x 1080 resolution flickers with LG 49WL95C-W monitor

I've an issue with my LG HDR DQHD 49WL95C-W display and my mac pro 2020 connected with usb-c. It works quite well, unless i'm changing the resolution to 3840 x 1080, then it flickers sometimes, most notably when i'm using videos. Higher (5120 x 1440) or lower (2560 x 720) resolutions are working well with no flickering. Unfortunately the medium resolution is the best to work with.

What could be the problem? Could it be a driver issue?

Mac Pro, macOS 10.15

That resolution appear to be 3/4 the size of the "natural" resolution of the display. I expect some rather amazing computations are being done, either in the computer or the display to accomplish that re-sizing.

If it flickers, I suggest you run your Videos in a window that is sized to the resolution of your Videos, leaving the display itself at the "natural" resolution of the display.
