I just got an Apple pencil, 1st generation, for my iPad mini. I'd be grateful if someone could answer these questions:
Does it make a difference whether you charge it through the iPad or a lightning cable?
About how long does it take to be fully charged?
About how long does the charge last?

I charge mine via the iPad, it’s very rare that I charge via the cable.
It lasts about a day & half of regular use, I don’t try let it get too low though.
It’s quite quick on my iPad Pro 9.7, 20 minutes.
Meant to say it's an iPad mini 5, which accommodates the Apple pencil 1.
