Does fall detection work and notify emergency contacts if you do not have cellular on the watch and your phone is not near by?
It will only work in that case if your watch is connected to a known Wifi (ie one that your have previously connected to), and that your Cellular provider allows WiFi calling (you must have wifi calling set up on your iPhone)

Thank you. It really will not do anything for me then if I am out walking and don't have my phone. This seems to be the biggest advantage to the series 5 over the series 3. Is there any other advantage I am missing. I want a watch for swimming, monitoring steps and a few other things. I am not a techy person.
