when i try to delete my apps there is no X with the jiggling app . I’ve tried all the usual tricks but no luck. Can any one help

If you are using an older version and all of the apps are jiggling but there is no X on any of them, it may be due to a restriction on deleting. See: Use parental controls on your child's iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support
