Why am I not able to get my emails on my phone?

I changed my email password, now I am not able to get my emails on my phone.. I did the following to try to update my password:

Settings

Password & Accounts

Under Accounts, I tapped the account I want to update

tapped my email address

Under Incoming mail server -- I tried to change the password and I get the following message:

Cannot Get Mail..The user name or password for "imap.mail.yahoo.com is incorrect

***How do update my email password on my phone**?????

As it’s a Yahoo do you use 2-step authentication on the account? If so then you may require an app specific password.

You can also try setting the account up again.
