iphone 6 front camera not working

hi! apologies for any potentially bad grammar here

i've had my iphone 6 for about two years and i've never had an issue with the cameras. they're both worked completely fine. however, while my back camera and flashlight work totally fine but my front camera comes up as a black screen. i cant take a photo, and if i try to open my front camera on instagram it just doesnt register it being there at all. ive tried literally everything online including resetting ALL my settings, restarting my phone, turning off voice features etc but literally nothing has fixed it. it happened after i got a tiny bit of coffee on my phone, i dried off all the liquid + left it for ab 12 hours to dry itself, once the battery drained and i recharged it it worked perfectly fine besides the front camera. according to what i've been able to see it should be a software issue, not a hardware issue, but i can't seem to figure out how to fix it safely. i reeeeally don't want to have to replace the whole thing just for a new front camera, but i'm a little lost on what to do.
