Dock Icons Reversing Themselves

So, my phone seems to have some phantom goblin living inside it. This morning I was on my phone per usual checking email and everything was fine. Less than an hour later I looked at my phone and all of my dock icons were in reversed order. I put them back in the correct order and didn’t think much else about it for a few hours until I looked at my phone again after work and noticed that the dock icons were, once again, in reversed order. I’ve checked for iOS updates and there aren’t any. The only thing I’ve changed about my phone recently was deleting my banking app because it kept crashing on me. Other than that everything is status quo (you know, aside from the phantom goblin). I need some insight from Apple as to why this is happening and what can be done to resolve it. I’ve tried restarting my phone to no avail. I’m using an iPhone 7 Plus.

Hi SMcGwier,

It sounds like you're having an issue with the dock arrangement and we can work together to get this fixed.

Are you seeing any other issues with the Home screen layout, or is it only the dock that is having an issue?

Make sure to have a current backup of your iPhone: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

This article is not specific to your issue but you can use it as a guide to reinstall the iOS: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Take note of step #4 and be sure to choose "Update". This will reinstall iOS without erasing your data.

Let us know if that helps.
