I can't seem to figure out how to mark all messages in iMessage as read on my MacBook Pro. I mostly use my iPhone so I'm always caught up on my messages. But when I turn on my MacBook, it currently says '379'. Is there a way to mark all these as read?
My experience has been that as soon as they scroll across your screen in messages on either device, they will automatically be marked as read. no separate operation seem to be required.
It takes more than just seeing the message in a banner alert, though. They have to appear in messages window.
Then I definitely need help. My iPhone has no number on the messages, but the MacBook Pro says 379. I'm not going through everything on my computer. There has to be a way to get these to get marked as read... I tried the 'Sync' option on the computer and that didn't seem to do it either.
I literally just got off the phone with the Apple Senior Advisor and she told me others are having this issue and their team is looking into it. If I find out what the solution is before anyone else does, I'll post it here for you.
I cannot get an answer to this either. I have a macbook and an iphone and the macbook has 344 unread imessages while the phone has none.
