IOS hotspot constantly dropping the tethering connection

It does not matter if I use bluetooth or wifi to tether my ipad pro to my iphone 7( both on 13.5.1) it is hopelessly unreliable. Sometimes it can last for hours but 98% of time it s somewhere between 2seconds to about 10 minutes. To say it is incredibly angering would be a huge understatement considering the bug was there for at least the last two ios revisions.

This is a huge problem considering so many people are working away from their offices a situation that is only getting more acute.

Apple PLEASE get it together, why is this taking so long to resolve? You are using your own gear are you not?
