You don't need to call Apple. They can't help you anyway.

The ONLY way you can track its location is using FindMy. You must have the credentials for the iCloud account that was being used on the device.

OK... I lied, there may be one other way. If it is a company owned phone and they use Apple's Business Manager program and have the device tied to an MDM, they may be able to track the location that way.

(pro tip: If you carry a company owned and managed phone, your employer knows where it is at all times... You have been warned)

No one from Apple CAN help, so don’t waste your time trying to contact Apple. If you enabled Find My on the phone before it was lost you can log in to https://icloud.com/find and locate it: if it’s powered on and has an Internet connection. If it wasn’t enabled there is no way to track the phone.

BTW, the best way to contact Apple is with the Contact Support link at the top of this page. Depending on time of day you can either chat with a tech online or have them call you at a convenient time. That way you don’t have to wait on hold.
