Iphone Other Storage Still Full After Reset

Hi,

My iphone 'Other' storage unexplainedly (I'm sure there is an explanation, but am at wit's end on what caused it) starting growing to fill my entire iphone storage. (it was filling 22 gigs) After going through your usual self-tech support route of googling and no other solution working the final solution was to factory reset my iphone after backing it up. So I backed up my iphone and factory reset it. To my surprise, the 'Other' was still full. In fact it was taking up all 64 gigs of my phone available. I could not restore the backup, or even download an app, because the entire phone is full by this storage. Is there any other idea that individuals have to solve this problem? I have tried recovery mode, but it tells me it cannot restore because iTunes is not the most recent update, but when I check iTunes it tells me it is the most recent version.

Thank you,

Will
