How did you change the password, then. You need to use a Mac keyboard or find which keys on your keyboard send the correct codes for the Command, Option/Alt, and Control keys. Since you have a MBP use the built-in keyboard and disconnect whatever you are now using.
I have a reg key board that’s not windows or Mac so I can’t press the command key or windows button
