How do I schedule an OS update?
My macbook is set to automatically download and install updates. However, it always has a pop-up asking me to update my OS. I am not going to update my macbook in the middle of using it. My mac is on mostly 24/7. I want it to update when I'm not using it. Is there a way to schedule the update for let's say 6:30am. Even if I can't schedule the update for a specific time, is there a way for me to force it to update when I either reboot or shut down the mac? I am on my mac for most of the day. I use my Mac for work (4-15 hours a day) and streaming video, so having pop-ups interrupting me that don't go away on their own really ticks me off. Is there a way to make notifications go away after a few seconds? If I have both the automatic download and automatic install boxes checked, then why do I have to manually update the mac anyway? Please help. I like my macbook so much, but the constant notifications are completely ruining my experience (I have other notifications for programs, but figured I'd try to resolve the MacOS update notifications first).
