Reassemble spacebar on macbook pro 16"

Hi.

I have removed the spacebar onmy macbook pro to clean it due to it was not working proparly. My problem is that when I did so, the to c-shaped metal "holders" came off with the cap. When trying to get it all back together I have a hard tim getting the metal holders back into place and at the same time getting the cap to click back onto the scissor-switch. I have searched all over but can not find any tutorial on how this is done. It seems that there is a different approach to do this onthe spacebar cap than on the other caps. As of now I have it placed back inplace without the metal holders but it clearly need those in place to function properly.

Could anyone please explain to me how this is done, or point me to some resources?

Hey Terje,

We understand that you've looked into cleaning the spacebar on your MacBook, but you're unable to reattach it properly.

The best step at this point would be to have your MacBook inspected at a nearby Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can find a list of nearby locations using this link: Apple - Find Locations - Location Selector

Here's some information about your service: Mac Repair - Official Apple Support. You can also start a repair request here: Get Support.

Here's a helpful resource with steps for cleaning the keys on a MacBook: How to clean the keyboard of your MacBook or MacBook Pro - Apple Support.

Have a great day.
