how can I tell which iPad generation I have

How can I tell which generation of iPad I have. Want to update OS and it won't go past 9.3.5. I need above 10 for my sphero.

It's most likely you have iPad 1st or 2nd generation if you are stuck at 9.3.5. As such that device is not capable of being updated further and it's likely time for a more modern iPad which isn't 9 or 10 years old.


To see, go to Settings > General > About > Model


Then use this link to check --> Identify your iPad model - Apple Support
